Pleasing Him
Ecclesiastes 2:26a God gives wisdom, knowledge, and joy to those who please him.
It sounds easy to please God, but how do we do that?
My idea is to surrender all my wants and worries and problems to God by:
Praising Him in every circumstance because He made us and all creation. We are His people and He loves us.
Thanking Him because He gives us breath each day and He gives us light and life. He brings love into our lives that is beyond our understanding.
Seeking Him because He will give us wisdom, knowledge, and joy in the journey of life.
Listening to Him because He will show us what to do.
Follow His lead…by faith we can experience the fullness of God by following Him.
Proverbs 2:1-10 My child, listen to what I say, and treasure my commands. Tune your ears to wisdom, and concentrate on understanding. Cry out for insight, and ask for understanding. Search for them as you would for silver; seek them like hidden treasures. Then you will understand what it means to fear the Lord, and you will gain knowledge of God. For the Lord grants wisdom! From his mouth comes knowledge and understanding. He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest. He is a shield to those who walk with integrity. He guards the paths of the just and protects those who are faithful to him. Then you will understand what is right, just, fair, and you will find the right way to go. For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will fill you with joy.
Lord, the journey with you is so interesting. It is simple, yet so complex. To follow you is the desire of my heart and I will not be shaken. I will stay strong, seek you, learn and grow. Teach me your truth so that I will be wise and have understanding. Fill my heart with your joy so that others can see You through me. In Jesus name, Amen
