Deep Secrets
Deep Secrets
1 Corinthians 2:9-12 That is what the Scriptures mean when they say,
“No eye has seen, no ear has heard,
and no mind has imagined
what God has prepared
for those who love him.”
10 But it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets. 11 No one can know a person’s thoughts except that person’s own spirit, and no one can know God’s thoughts except God’s own Spirit. 12 And we have received God’s Spirit (not the world’s spirit), so we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us.
It is awe inspiring to think that God wants to meet us where we are in our spiritual walk. When we love Him and take time to spend with Him, He will cultivate us. He is the vine and we are the branches so we have to depend on Him for our life and our strength. He will teach us things that we never imagined. He will guide us into a deeper relationship with Him and He will even show us His deep secrets. Wow, to think of God as my best friend is refreshing. And since He is all knowing and always there for us, we can be His best friend too.
How does this happen? Through the Holy Spirit. His Spirit is part of the Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), 3 in one. We can talk to God through the power of the Holy Spirit when we accept Jesus into our lives. Our spirit can dwell with the Holy Spirit and He will show us wonderful truths that will free us from hurt and pain. Getting closer to God helps us to know Him better and face the challenges that come our way.
Father, please forgive me when I don't take time to see You and know You. I want to be closer to you. Help me to understand Your purpose for me today and show me Your deep secrets. Lead me to Your path of righteousness and thank you for the freedom of my relationship with You. I am so excited to see what you have in store for me as I grow in You.
In Jesus name, amen.
